The City of Grangeville has a volunteer fire department consisting of approximately 25 firemen that fight both City and Rural fires.

Every December, the fire department sponsors "Santa's Fire Truck", a 1944 Buffalo fire engine, decked out in Christmas lights and music that travels throughout the Community carrying Santa Claus as he wishes all the citizens "Merry Christmas".

On Independence Day, the Fire Department puts on a fantastic fireworks display made possible with donations from our generous community.
