Mission Statement 

As members of the Grangeville Police Department our mission is to provide quality, professional police service and protection to the citizens of the community while assuring fair and equal treatment to everyone.  We will work in partnership with the citizens of Grangeville to establish and maintain community peace, assist citizens in identifying and solving problems and enhance the quality of community life.

 

We recognize our badge as a symbol of public faith and accept it as public trust.

 

We recognize department members as its most valuable resource and will strive to maintain the quality of public service through committed leadership, supervisory direction, training, and discipline.

 

We are a proactive police agency dedicated to excellence, with specific objectives including suppression of crime, protection of life and property, apprehension and assistance in the prosecution of offenders, the preservation of peace, the regulation of traffic, the prevention of traffic accidents and congestion, and the recovery and return of lost and stolen property. We provide emergency and non-emergency services.

 

We shall ensure quality service for everyone we serve by way of accountability and community involvement.

 

We will provide progressive, highly trained and equipped personnel to work with our community to protect life, property and our way of life.
