POLICE dEPARTMENT pHILOSOPHY 

As the newest member of the Grangeville Police Department and it senior executive I believe in a proactive approach to law enforcement, and 21st century law enforcement  issues. All communities across the nations must seek out new and innovative ideas when dealing with budgets and resources and solutions to solving 21st century crime. While pursuing this 21st century approach it is paramount that the essence of the Grangeville community be protected and supported by the agency.

 

The oath of office is an alliance to upholding the laws of the State of Idaho and this is an oath I take very seriously. We recognize our badge as a symbol of public faith and accept it as a public trust.

 

The Grangeville Police Department serves the city of Grangeville Idaho and all of its citizens. We also serve the frequenting public of the City of Grangeville.

 

The Grangeville Police Department treats all complaints with equality, and supports the rights of all citizens. All citizens are treated fairly and with dignity.

 

The Grangeville Police Department is supported by the Mayor and City Council in the goal of providing the highest level of professional services to the city. 

 

The Grangeville Police networks with all law enforcement agencies with the common goal of establishing and maintaining professional and effective law enforcement services.

 

The Grangeville Police Department depends on the assistance and support of the citizens of the City of Grangeville, especially when it comes to crime prevention and criminal investigations. 

 

The Grangeville Police Department recognizes the need for a strong media relationship to assist the Police with matters of public concern.

 

The Grangeville Police Department and the City we protect are fortunate to have officers of the caliber that we do. These officers have the heart and desire it takes to perform as outstanding police officers in our community.
