Public Hearing May 10, 2007: Proposed Ordinance 11-2-2

A public hearing will be held at City Hall before the Grangeville Planning and Zoning Commission on the 10th day of May, 2007, at 7:00 P.M. on the following ordinance.

GRANGEVILLE CITY ORDINANCE NO. ______

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE PROVIDING FOR AN ADDITIONAL DEFINITION IN SECTION 11-2-2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE RELATING TO LANDLOCKED IRREGULAR SHAPED LOTS KNOWN AS FLAG LOTS; PROVIDING FOR MINIMUM DIMENSION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF FLAG LOTS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR THE ORDINANCE BECOMING EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL, AND PUBLICATION.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRANGEVILLE, IDAHO COUNTY, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: Section 11-2-2 of the Grangeville Municipal Code shall be amended to add the definition of Flag Lot as follows:

Flag Lot: A flag lot is an irregular lot, the purpose of which is to allow access to an otherwise landlocked lot and whose shape resembles a flag and a pole. That portion of the lot connecting to a street is represented by the pole and shall not be less than 25 feet in width.

Section 2: The balance of the definitions appearing in section 11-2-2 shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith shall be repealed.

Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval, and publication in the Idaho County Free Press after notice and hearings having been properly held pursuant to the Local Planning Act notice provisions set forth in Idaho Code ยง67-6509, as amended.
